W. V. 'Chap' Chappell
President Chappell Entertainment Corporation / Chappell Films, LLC

Chap Chappell started his career in the music industry fresh out of Oklahoma State working for a then new, little-known rock group called Van Halen. After becoming established in the music industry organizing, managing, and overseeing multimillion dollars events, he began his own touring and promoting management company, "Phoenix Productions." Through the late 70's and early 80's, Chap grew Phoenix Productions into one of the major tour management companies; managing, touring and promoting such groups as 38. Special, The Fixx, Billy Idol, Molly Hatchet, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Heart, Thompson Twins, Adam Ant and The Romantics. Chap also gained recognition for promoting and producing large events like Spring Break in Daytona Beach with MTV and Bike Week concerts featuring Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Night Ranger, Blue Oyster Cult, Rick Derringer, Humble Pie, The Birds, and The Georgia Satellites. During the late 80's, Chap was offered a sizable contract to sell his beloved Phoenix Productions. Upon completion of the sale, Chap moved to the Virgin Islands to enjoy the sun of the Caribbean and expand his consulting career.
Chaps' restlessness was apparent though, and after the "no compete" clause of his sale contract expired, he made the decision to return to Orlando, Florida and the entertainment world by forming what would become Chappell Entertainment Corp. and later, Chappell Films LLC.
Chappell Entertainment Corp. has represented or now represents such talent as, Bubba Smith, James Hong, Iake Eissinmann, Frankko, Michael Winslow, Leslie Easterbrook, Marion Ramsey, Maxamillion, Genitorturers, James Brown's Band and several corporations including Hearns' Entertainment and Sante Fe College Foundation. Chap also has worked closely as casting Director and worked very closely with such clients as Pat Morito (Karate Kid), Dennis Rodman and Angie Everheart. In 2011, Chappell Entertainment added Legendary Rocker, Jimmie VanZant, former World Heavyweight Champion, Pinklon Thomas, and recently in 2012, the major southeast rock band Big Engine to its extensive management roster.
Chappell Films LLC has completed several major projects, including a couple of projects that have aired on national television and are being sold worldwide. Projects include; "Michael Winslow Comedy Sound Slap Down," "Latinos Locos," "Bike Week exposed,", "Trail of Tears," "Honeyboy," "Forbidden Team" and "Cartoon Explosion" as well as a sports TV series pilot with Bruce Jenner of Olympic Fame, a travel TV series pilot, "Jimmie Van Zant's American DeTour", and a documentary about Santa Fe College Foundation's Boots 'N BBQ Festival, titled, "Grills Gone Wild: From the Backyard to Backstage". Chappell Films LLC has teamed up with Mighty Mojo Studios, to produce "The Mystery of…" series, released its premiere episode in August 2007, "The Mystery of Shooting Stars". It was followed by a second episode, "The Mystery of Gravity". Each episode is now available for purchase in Borders Bookstores and online at both Target.com and Amazon.com.
In 2012, Chappell Entertainment and its sister record label, CYA Records, released "Feels Like Freedom"- the latest hit album from rocker Jimmie Van Zant, distributed nationally by Sony/RED and MRI with a corporate sponsorship from MoonPie. Chappell Films LLC produced a music video for Jimmie Van Zant's smash hit single off the album of the same name, 'Feels Like Freedom'. The video can be viewed on such major sites as CMT.com, MTV.com, GAC.com, and Vh1.com. The company currently wrapped production of a music video for Jimmie's second single release off the album in Nashville, Tennessee. Recently, in connection with Main Event TV and Ustream, Chap was the executive producer for a festival event that streamed Jimmie Van Zant live in concert worldwide and for free, ranking in an audience of over 12,000.
Chappell Properties, a subsidiary company of Chappell Entertainment also places and promotes intellectual property for many clients around the world and has placed many products in worldwide distribution.
Through the years, Chap Chappell has earned respect and trust in the entertainment business, from the management of clients, TV specials, film projects, and major events with corporations.
