Mimi
Chan
Mimi Chan was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She moved to Orlando, Florida, when her father, Grandmaster Chan Pui, opened the Wah Lum Temple. She began
her kung fu training at the age of 3, and by 5 was already performing in local exhibitions. Having supplemented her martial arts with gymnastics and
dance training, Mimi delivers an explosive performance of authentic Kung Fu technique and skill in open hand and weaponry, complemented by dynamic
acrobatic capabilities.
Her highly revered performances have been marketed in a variety of markets including television, and film. Mimi is perhaps best known as the martial arts video reference for Disney's "Mulan." In 1995, she was chosen to model for the character at the MGM Studios in Orlando.
