The
Bubblegum
Bonanza
is a show comprised of four of the very best Bubblegum acts of the
60’s & 70’s. The four acts consist of, Ron Dante
of the Archie’s and Cufflinks, The 1910
Fruitgum Company, The Ohio Express, and Bo Donaldson
and The Heywood’s. These super acts are responsible for
the phenomenon known as the bubblegum craze. It was a time when the
Viet Nam war was escalating, there was unrest in the nation and
protest was prevalent in our society. It is at this very time that
these acts and a few others gave birth to that unique sound called
Bubblegum. The lyrics were happy and bouncy and everyone understood
and sang along to them. The style of this music spawned dozens of
acts that even today are considered bubblegum acts. This package
show, put together by Ron Dante, will ensure a great time for
everyone. It is human nature that everyone wants to feel good and be
happy. This show certainly will deliver happy memories and a great
time for all. There are Original
Members in every act in this package
show. All of the acts have made their mark in music history and have
performed all over the country. All acts are recipients of multi gold
record status. These 5 groups all had top of the chart hit records.
Some of the songs recorded by these artists are, Sugar Sugar, Simon
Says, Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, Thank You For Being A Friend, Billy Don’t
Be A Hero, Tracy, 1-2-3- Red Light and many, many more.
The entire show is backed by one band,
which makes the show more economical and marketable for promoters and
helps to keep ticket cost at a reasonable rate. We use one band and
then have the key players from each act perform their show with the
one band backing. No set changes and the same rider for all acts. The
show is approximately two hours in length but can be adjusted to fit
time schedules. Again, there are Original
Members in every act. This is
the real deal.
